There’s some software available of course. Otherwise, enable disk mode for your ipod. Connect to the computer, open the ipod drive under my computer. Make sure you have show hidden files and look for itunes and under there, there should be a music folder with various subfolders named as F00, F01, F02…. and so on. Copy all this to your PC, import it into itunes. The only catch, not all song information gets imported, so some songs might appear as FDBK, JFGR and so on.

Assuming that you still have your music within Itunes on your computer, you just need to plug in the new ipod. When it syncs, all of the music and other things you have indicated to sync will go to your new Ipod. I’ve done this twice now and it works fine. Post a comment
