If you start looking at a video or movie, then say halfway through you go to something else, the iPod will ‘remember’ where you stopped it. It doesn’t matter if its a week or 2 months later when you view the video/movie again, it will resume where you stopped it before.

Resetting it might help, I kinda doubt it but you can try, reset it by holding down the Menu and the Select (center button) for 6-10 seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
